We always accept applications for the roles below from talented and motivated individuals interested in joining our team.

We warmly encourage applications from candidates with a background in physics, mathematics, or other quantitative sciences interested in evolutionary biology and the biology of aging.

Postdoctoral Researchers

Postdoc in Evolutionary Genomics and Aging

Candidates with expertise in population genetics, quantitative genetics, computational biology, or functional genomics are welcome to apply. The lab works across evolutionary genomics, comparative biology, and the genetics of lifespan variation, using sequence analysis, simulation, and statistical modeling.

Postdoc in Host-Microbiome and Immune Aging

Candidates with a background in molecular biology, cell culture, or animal physiology are welcome to apply. The lab investigates host-microbiome interactions, immune aging, and tissue homeostasis in turquoise killifish, using approaches that include microscopy, cytometry, and genome editing.

PhD Student

PhD in Experimental Evolution and Aging

Candidates interested in experimental evolution and the biology of aging in microbes are welcome to apply. Projects in the lab combine cytometry, genomics, statistical genetics, and modeling. A background in biology, physics, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field is suitable.

Master Students

We are always open to applications from ambitious, hard-working, and curious Master students. If you are interested in doing your Master thesis project with us, please contact us with your CV and a 1–2 page motivation letter in English.

How to apply: Contact us directly at nicole.wolf@leibniz-fli.de. Please include your CV, contacts for at least two referees, and a 1–2 page background statement.
