Bio
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Genomic Sciences and Biotechnology from the Catholic University of Brasília. My academic journey led me to the Friedrich Schiller University Jena where I got my Ph.D. in Microbiology.
Fueled by a passion for microbes and their interactions, my research has spanned microbiomes in animals, soil, and metal resistance in soil bacteria. In my current role at the Valenzano lab, I am focused on unraveling the interaction between the gut microbiome and aging in turquoise killifish.
